I missed the Grammy Awards last weekend, but I heard that a group called The Civil Wars had made a very big impression. So I nosed around on YouTube, and found these videos, and dear god their songs are gorgeous:

Can they cover a classic and make it compellingly their own? You bet:

And I see that they’ve collaborated with Taylor Swift on a hauntingly beautiful song for The Hunger Games:

Absolutely exquisite. I think I’ve found a new favorite band.
